 "Not as it seems" 2010-01-04
By Tech Junkie (Long Island, NY USA)
Although the packaging clearly states "Power Adapter Included", it does not include a power adapter, which may cause issues when connecting multiple devices. To further add to the deception that a power supply is included, the bottom part of the packaging is contains an empty box where you would expect the power supply to be.

This is the most deceptive packaging I've encountered for a product. Buyer Beware!

"not bad for the price" 2009-12-16
By Richard B. Brewer
The cord was as expected only 3 feet long and a bit cheaply made. One side of the hub had popped off before even taking it out of the package but i wedged it back on there. I have bought better constructed and more visually appealing hubs for around $20 but at $10 this one worked fine and besides for the end popping off I'm happy with it.

"Does not appear to be USB 2.0" 2009-05-21
By David DelGreco (Bay Area, CA USA)
I needed some more ports on my machine and bought this based on the reviews. For the most part it works fine. I've tested it with a mouse, keyboard, and USB external hard drive. But when I used the external drive to do a backup, the software estimated it would take six hours. On a hunch, I took the drive's dongle from the USB hub and plugged directly into the computer. When I started the backup again, the software estimated it would take about 40 minutes, which is what I'm used to. Further ad hoc speed tests showed that this little thing is reeeaaalllly slow.

I give it three stars because it's cheap and I can see it being useful. Just be aware that you get what you pay for.

 "It works" 2009-04-10
By C. Arnold (Olympia WA)
Needed something with all the ports on one side. Cannot use all the ports if you need a wide space. Would be great if they included a clip that could be screwed or glued in place that the base feet of the unit could slide into and hold it stationary.

Good un-powered hub with a short extension cable.

 "4 port USB hub" 2009-03-04
By eburchelli (Pennsylvania USA)
This is so tiny. I already had a 4 port hub and had one port left when I decided to buy another as a piggyback. I mean, if I had known I'd need all these USB ports a couple of years ago, I'd have bought a 12 port to begin with. Anyhow my original is about 3 times the size of this new one, so there was no trouble finding a spot for it. This should come in handy whenever I get a laptop to replace my desktop computer. It will be an accessory that is easy to pack and go.

the key board is nice for PS Home for chating "or fighting with those every so many pricks" it is the size of a reg key board very smooth typing its better than the one im using right now on my pc to right this lol the only down side to this key board is that it has a wire it would be alot better if it was wireless but hey what can i say i only paid $12 for mine and it is way worth it

"Useful for Basic Text Chat" 2009-04-15
By Alfonso P. Posadas Jr. (Green Valley, CA United States)
Well what can I say beyond the fact that this particular model of keyboard is useful in basic text chat upon the Playstation 3 and its Playstation Network? Though it's a bit bulky considering that one is transitioning from the six axis / dualshock 3 controller to a PC worthy keyboard and something to get used to, but once it is done, one will be glad that you no longer have to use the time consuming controller-based text board.

"Really just a plain ol' keyboard" 2008-11-23
By J. Anoc
Pros:

-Durable

-Long cord (8 feet)

-You know it will work with your PS3

-Price

Cons:

-Plain design (but at least it's black)

-An included palm rest would have been nice

-No included instructions on what keys do what (check out the PS3 manual at the official PlayStation website for some internet browser keyboard shortcuts [Support->Manuals->PS3->System Software User's Guide])

Notes:

-You will still need to use a PS3 controller to use certain functions, as far as I can tell

-This might be obvious, but you can also use a USB mouse with PS3

-Now that I have a keyboard, I've been able to install and mess with Linux on my PS3. Try it, it's fun (but also frustrating).

"Uber Excited! Kind of a fail...." 2009-12-25
By D. Bernat (MO--USA)
A long while back, I was heavy into super nintendo emulation. I really wanted a true to system experience. I wanted a controller in my hand. I went out and bought a cheap general computer controller. That one was... Okay. Mostly, I was disappointed with that one because of the D-Pad. Whenever I would press down, I'd go right. When I'd press up, I'd go left. I had decided that the only way to fix it would to find an actual super nintendo controller with a usb port. I was really excited when I got this one. I ripped it out of the box to instant apprehension. The controller feels completely cheap in your hands. It's a bright white. On the back is a fairly sizable sticker that reads, "MADE IN CHINA." I went and downloaded an emulator and rom onto someone else's computer to test it out. To my complete disappointment: The D-pad was terrible. Up = Up-Left. Down = Down-Right. I'm really upset because someone gifted this to me. Someone spent money on me for this piece of junk. I would not recommend this to anybody that wants to be immersed into a game. Do some research on a good SNES controller, and then buy a controller port to usb port converter. That's my only hope for now. The funniest part about the controller is that the box it comes in says "eight quality buttons." Count with me, here: L & R is 2. Start & Select is 2. A, B, X, & Y is 4. Up, Down, Left, & Right is 4. That's twelve buttons. They don't even guarantee that this thing is awesome on the box. Final details: Cheap plastic. Cheap wire. Terrible marketing. Bad programming. Not worth the purchase.

 "USB game pad" 2009-11-27
By Scott E. Strungis (NJ USA)
Nice controller overall. The buttons are responsive and not mushy. The D-pad is a little noisy and creaky but works well with both Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64.

The pad also works nicely with emulation software on the laptop.

"Best Rock Band 2 Mic" 2009-12-10
By Krystal Ng (bay area, ca)
Bought this mic for Rock Band 2 awhile ago and it easily out-performs the one that comes with the Rock Band 2 bundle...even my friends are starting to notice the difference.

Over the course of the past year I noticed while singing on the bundled mic while over at a friend's place that it has issues picking up lower voice ranges...generally the lower your voice is, the more inaccurate that mic will become in picking up your notes during the game. I sang the same way using both mics and with the Rock Band mic, I scored a 74% on expert and barely passed, but with the Logitech mic I hit 98% and pretty much cruised the whole way. I brought over the Logitech mic to try the difference and everyone noticed a marked improvement in their performance.

I also noticed that the Rock Band mic misses notes here and there even if you sing them...much like their guitars will randomly just miss a note you know you've hit, and why many are switching over to other guitars as well.

Great mic by a quality company, I've not looked back since.

 "Good Product" 2009-11-17
By harakim (Logan, UT)
This works with Garageband in Mac, although you have to change some settings in the Preferences. The sound quality was pretty good, although I'm sure it's nothing compared to a real mic. It's way better than the built in mic or a video camera. What I'm getting at is its great for 22 dollars but not something you want to record an album with.

It works with Garageband, Windows voice recorder, and PS3 Rock band. I haven't tested with anything else.

My kids use this microphone to play Disney Sing It Bundle with Microphone and Disney Sing It: Pop Hits. The sound quality seems to be pretty good and it has lasted a couple years now and is still working like new. The cord it really long and reach clear across our entire living room.

 "Great headset" 2009-09-23
By MRdrift (San Jose, CA)
IF you game a lot and you don't want to drain all of the battery from your bluetooth headset because you'd also like to use it for your cellphone, I would definitely recommend this USB headset. Plug and Play. No more need to worry about the quality of your voice going through like with Bluetooth. The cord is very long, I would guess about 7 ft or maybe a little bit longer. It's getting late so I'm not going to measure it but I have a 32" LCD 1080p TV and it easily reaches as far back as I'd want to sit from that size TV. When I bought it, it was only [...] bucks or so. Can't beat the performance and practicality for that dollar.

"Good, but it is a little small" 2009-09-11
By Jason William Godfrey (Flacid Noodle, Underworld)
I'd say that this headset runs a little small but it works fine enough. but if it were even one inch smaller i would be displeased with this product. good thing my head isn't any bigger. but otherwise good product. the sound works great and the mic works perfectly. and the cord is long as well, which is good for people who sit far back from the tv. thanks

 "Great Price, Great Product" 2009-08-29
By Loren M. Mcghee
I use this product everyday and i love using it. The price is great and the quality is also great. It adjusts alot to give you choices and a flex rod. It only reaches about the back of your lip or cheek which is want you want it to be. I play call of duty 4 and 5 and i can hear clearly and people can hear me clearly. It is very comfortable for me and it never runs out of power. I have had this product for about 3 and a half months and it still works great and is in the same condition as when i bought it. I highly recommend this product.
