 "Not as it seems" 2010-01-04

Although the packaging clearly states "Power Adapter Included", it does not include a power adapter, which may cause issues when connecting multiple devices. To further add to the deception that a power supply is included, the bottom part of the packaging is contains an empty box where you would expect the power supply to be.

This is the most deceptive packaging I've encountered for a product. Buyer Beware!

"not bad for the price" 2009-12-16

The cord was as expected only 3 feet long and a bit cheaply made. One side of the hub had popped off before even taking it out of the package but i wedged it back on there. I have bought better constructed and more visually appealing hubs for around $20 but at $10 this one worked fine and besides for the end popping off I'm happy with it.

"Does not appear to be USB 2.0" 2009-05-21

I needed some more ports on my machine and bought this based on the reviews. For the most part it works fine. I've tested it with a mouse, keyboard, and USB external hard drive. But when I used the external drive to do a backup, the software estimated it would take six hours. On a hunch, I took the drive's dongle from the USB hub and plugged directly into the computer. When I started the backup again, the software estimated it would take about 40 minutes, which is what I'm used to. Further ad hoc speed tests showed that this little thing is reeeaaalllly slow.

I give it three stars because it's cheap and I can see it being useful. Just be aware that you get what you pay for.

 "It works" 2009-04-10

Needed something with all the ports on one side. Cannot use all the ports if you need a wide space. Would be great if they included a clip that could be screwed or glued in place that the base feet of the unit could slide into and hold it stationary.

Good un-powered hub with a short extension cable.

 "4 port USB hub" 2009-03-04
By eburchelli (Pennsylvania USA)
This is so tiny. I already had a 4 port hub and had one port left when I decided to buy another as a piggyback. I mean, if I had known I'd need all these USB ports a couple of years ago, I'd have bought a 12 port to begin with. Anyhow my original is about 3 times the size of this new one, so there was no trouble finding a spot for it. This should come in handy whenever I get a laptop to replace my desktop computer. It will be an accessory that is easy to pack and go.
